Oh those marketing geniuses at Microsoft, combining oft-used product names Nano and Touch into one completely non-Apple product, the NANOTOUCH. Next up: The Microsoft MaciPhone!

Whether you think that's lame or an equally lame yet sincere form of flattery, gaming on the NanoTouch looks...interesting. Check out the video and judge for yourself.

Warning! Keep the sound down to a minimum, as the banter is difficult to understand and somewhat annoying.

And in case you missed it before, here's a good overview of the technology behind NanoTouch.

We love this idea even though it still looks buggy because of the potential it has for mobile gaming. As devices get smaller, we have fewer buttons to use for gaming. And gaming with a touchscreen is aggravating because your fingers are obscuring the very thing you're trying to see. But using the back of the device as a control surface is genius. It's not being used anyway, and it keeps your fingers from obstructing the screen.
