Klipsch Image S4 Headphones Review
Klipsch Image S4
After spending a month or so with the Klipsch Image S4 headphones I have really come to like these headphones. The Klipsch Image S4 headphones retail for $79.99 which is a bit higher than your typical Skull Candy headphones. I have never owned an “expensive” set of headphones before so I was eager to try these out.
The headphones themselves look unassuming. The drivers are housed in typical fashion with some silver trim that give them a little something extra. As with most other in ear headphones the Image S4 comes with different sized ear pieces, for those of us with little ear canals. The actual driver is angled from the body with allows the headphones to fit a little better in the ear. This angled design actually works and is very noticeable if you place the wrong ear into the wrong ear. The fit isn’t as snug or as comfortable as when both sides are inserted into the correct ears.
The Klipsch Image S4 headphones do sound better than cheaper headphones. I was instantly ableto discern greater detail in music that wasn’t readily apparent in my other cheaper headphones. The headphones themselves are as comfortable as any I have tried before. The S4s also seem to isolate external noises better than average. This is nice if you work in a cubicle like us here at TopTenREVIEWS and your co-workers always seem to have something annoying to talk about while using their not-indoor-voice.
The aluminum carrying case is nice to store the headphones but putting them in after every use takes some time and can be a little annoying. After a while I found myself skipping the carrying tin and just throwing them in my bag with all my other cords. The headphones seem to hold up fine so far to the abuse out of the case. The case also has room for the extra ear gels, should you ever feel you need to change sizes. Klipsch even included a earbud cleaner to keep your headphones wax free.
The Klipsch Image S4 headphones are certainly better than your average budget set of headphones that you would pick up at Walmart. If you are serious about your portable tunes, and have an extra $80 to spend on headphones that you will probably lose anyway, these come highly recommended. Do yourself a favor and pick up a pair.
