The Sandisk Sansa Fuze is awfully reminiscent of its direct competition, the iPod Nano, with similar size, feel and click wheel. But when the almighty dollar dictates decisions, you can’t beat the Fuze.
The Sansa Fuze features an easy-to-navigate and well-organized interface with click wheel controls and great battery life with more than 24 hours of music playback. Additionally, it includes a voice recorder, FM tuner and Rhapsody integration. The Fuze also has an expandable MicrosSD slot for expandable memory. Although it supports video, the 1.8-inch screen size it’s not exactly optimal.
Most feel the Fuze is a respectable player from a respectable company. The device is perfect for those who want a solid device to store music on. Most users love the easy navigation and the click wheel interface makes it user friendly for novices. Critics like the microSD inclusion, but are disappointed that Sandisk decided to use proprietary connections instead of their previous standard USB.
Although it’s not a Nano, the Sansa Fuze is a great little device for simple music playback. And you can’t beat the price.
