Creative Zii EGG Available for Pre-Order, Ships This Month

The Creative Zii EGG has continued to baffle us even though it’s obviously an iPod Touch competitor. Maybe it’s the ambiguous name of the “stem cell computing” that the device uses. Maybe it’s the fact that PMPs are already such a nebulous category. Regardless, the Creative Zii EGG has some nifty capabilities, and what’s more, it will be shipping by the end of this month.

You can pre-order the Zii EGG, and Creative is promising that pre-orders will ship by the end of the month. Pretty darn soon. And to incentivize you to pre-order, Creative is including a free HD-out cable for all early orders. Of course, if you want to develop apps for the device, you can buy the Plaszma SDK for $400 and get the 32GB Zii EGG for free. Either way.
